Desert Breeze ( A train of thought Poem)

The desert breeze it greets me

Like an old forgotten friend

The dust of who I was

Is floating on the wind

I inhale the memories

Of the person, I escaped

Those broken bits fill the cracks

Of who I am today

A shaman wise fool poet

Knowing to unknow

The parched stars twinkle above

In the arid abyss below

This blackness contorts the mountains

To these 2d silhouettes

The demons of who I was

Breathing down my neck

Alone at this mountain top

Alone when down below

Alone in all realms

Not alone in my soul

Connected when I breathe

To all the life that’s lived

I inhale my ancestors

someone will one day breathe me in
